When using long pipe lengths there may be additional restrictions on the maximum number of sampling holes. The pipe inlets may have restrictions on the number of inlets used simultaneously. See the detailed product documentation of the detector for more details.
The BS 5839 coverage area is based on the maximum pipe length and number of holes at 8 metre sampling hole spacing or a BS 5839 fire zone or 2000 square metres, whichever is the smallest. The BS 6266 coverage area assumes primary detection of an air handling unit or similar and that a wire burn test is used for commissioning tests.
The approval information is correct as of October 2010. Contact AirSense Technology Ltd for the latest approval information and for product price and availability.
